J.T.
Before my mom died, it was always her first with everything. If it's something kinda silly, I say it out loud to her and then I'll call my friend. If it's important, I tell my husband.
These instances are when I miss my mom the most.
Who is the first person you pick up the phone to share your exciting or not so exciting news with?
My past: it was my BFF
My present: My hubby
For my grandmother it was her sister even though she was married.
I am loving the daughter as your person!

My 19yr old daughter. She's my best friend. I dont ever have to go into backstory with her and I never need to tell her why something is significant or a big deal, she just gets it.
Depends on the news and the time of day. Sometimes it is my husband, sometimes my older daughter, since she has a phone but the younger one doesn't. My boys could care less. :p
My hubby, then my mom.
Cheers!
Dawn
Mine is a 3 way tie...
Husband
Sister
Mother
I end up calling all 3 of them!
Wow, so many of us go to our daughters. I do too. Shes' 16 and like another mom said she just gets it. Plus hubby is never home so sometimes I forget to tell him news.
Husband... no doubt.
First: my 18 year old daughter, second: my ex-husband!
Depends on the news!
If it's stuff that my husband isn't interested in (like when I won ticket to see Wicked) my best friend.
If it's things that my husband is interested in, my husband.
Always my husband first, then my mom, MIL, and sister.
My BFF and husband both. I save the super girlie stuff for my BFF, but the really juicy stuff I ALWAYS have to share with the hubs ;)
More often than not, I tell my mom as well... okay honestly, I can't keep my mouth shut, I tell everybody unless I've been sworn to secrecy ;)
Husband & Oldest Daughter - both get a text or conference called together.
My best friend, Judi, is still my GO TO person.
I do tell my husband if he is around, but first and foremost is Judi.....
When my grandparents were alive it was them. My parents were last to know--not exactly the most supportive people. Now it's my best friend if I can't get a hold of my husband.
My husband first, but only because he got upset that I typically called my mom first. Sometimes if I can't get ahold of him, I'll still tell her first!
General order:
- Husband
- Mom/Dad
-Sisters
- In laws
It depends on the nature of the news ~ either my husband or my sister.
My husband and my mom. Or both. Depending on the subject.
I wish my mom or sis but both are out of state in 12/3 hr, respectively, different time zone :(
I have a few girlfriends, depending on the situation. Come to think of it, I think I text more than I call though.
Husband, every time. :)
I tell my hubby everything, but when he is busy at work or I just need to talk about everything (X's 3), it's my BFF. :)
It used to be mom, when she was alive. I miss picking up the phone to talk about nothing and everything.
Hopefully, in the future it will be both of my girls. :)
Of course before marriage it was my BFF, but now I ALWAYS call my hubby first as he is now my BFF and then I'll call my "girl" BFF.
My husband, then my mom, then my sister!
Always my husband who is also my BF
It depends on what the news is exactly, but either my husband or my mom.
My sister who is my best friend - all the way!!
My sister - she is my only absolutely true & unconditional BFF (not including hubby the selection--that's kinda a given that he's my BFF as well)
My husband then my older sister
My husband, without hesitation. If he is not available, its my mom
My Mother in Law.
My sisters
My dad
My Best Friend
You guys....Sadly it has to be in the form of a question!?!
My 21 yr old daughter. She also calls me when she has news or is frustrated.
It really depends upon the context of the event or news for me.
My husband, followed by my sister, followed by kids, followed by friends, or an aunt.
My hubby and my mom :)
My husband first, it wasnt always this way but now it is.
Depends on the news - sometimes it's hubby, sometimes it's BFF, and ocassionally it may be my daughter
Your "person", like Grey's Anatomy? LOVE it! My husband and my close colleague at work for the stuff that only girls get excited over! :)
used to be hubby and sis in law
as for hubby same thing manda f is going thru... as for sis in law... as of last night she jumped on my for no real reason, So now I have only my kids
My hubby and if appropriate my 7 year old son. For my mom its her sisters.
Super exciting news? Usually the sisters, they're more surprised or enthusiastic than husband typically.
