Hi! So was wondering how any other SAHM find ways to make extra money. I have a 7 year old son going into 2nd grade. Have him all but every other weekend. A step daughter, age 7 only on weekends, and a 18 month old son we have together. I plan on being a SAHM untill my youngest is in full days at school. So until then, would love to find ways to make some extra cash, from home, just to help out, or play money. I have thought of maybe watching 1 kid, but do not know anyone one who needs a sitter, or maybe selling stuff on ebay. Would love to hear how other SAHM find ways to make extra money from home. If any of you do ebay thing, how hard it it? Time consuming? Just want to hear any ideas from anyone who could give advice. Would love to hear all ideas! Cant wait to read responses.

What can I do next?

Think of things you enjoy doing and are good at, then consider ways to monetize those skills.

I know one SAH mom who loves to cook - she caters small parties and bakes gorgeous cakes. I know another mom who contracts with people to do their wedding or event flowers (she used to work at a florist). I know a third mom who sings at weddings, funerals, and other events. Me - I take on occasional graphic design and editing jobs, working near a large university. And of course, I know several moms who provide daycare for one or two kids during the week - it doesn't have to be a full-blown daycare operation. Lots of people don't want to send their kids to a daycare center or a big home daycare where there are a lot of kids. You can use Craigslist to get the word out.

Just think about doing a little more of what you love!

I sell stuff on craigslist and ebay.

I also help out with other things that friends who work full time want me to do and pay me for my services...walking dogs, grocery shopping, etc..

Ebay CAN be time consuming - once you get it down -you are good. Unfortunately, the downside to ebay lately is the fees....they own paypal as well so you get 50 free listings a month - but you pay a 9% (yes NINE PERCENT) final value fee (FVF) on your item that sells...and because of a few bad apples, all sellers are now being charged the FVF on the TOTAL cost of the sale - what it sold for PLUS shipping....thanks to the jerks who charged $500 for shipping but sold something for .99 cents. - pin heads!

You will also be charged a fee from Paypal for the use of their services...that's why you need to make sure what you are selling is worth something.

I prefer craigslist because it's free to list and sell - downside? people meet you - whether at your home or in public places....

Well, if you have $1, I'd love to show what I do from home! Really, the company is running a promotion this month and you can enroll and get your business kit all for just $1. I've been with the company 7 years and they have provided me with ongoing residual income every single month for the last 7 years.

If you'd like to check out a webinar, send a message to my inbox and we can discuss a mutual day & time.

Good luck!

Think about what you LIKE to do and what you are GOOD at.

You'll get recruiters from all the MLM and direct sales people on here and that is great if you are into recruiting, selling, investing, maintaining sales, parties, and many are very pushy. The pushy ones run everybody off.

Sell your old things online, if you are good at mending/sewing branch out and mend clothes... I'd love a service like that, of course babysitting is an option.

We run our company from home and I have an at home mom who is a whiz at Quickbooks tutor me and help me out when I need to do special reports. I pay her $85/hour, prorated.

If you are great at a second language, or some select topic, tutor kids.

Good luck
