i honestly had a great experience at the target greatland in edina. i took my (at the time) 2 year old for pictures, and the photographer (a young russian girl, don't know her name!) was amazing. we got the best pictures we've ever gotten of chase - better than the photos we paid an arm and a leg for. they were more candid, which is what i wanted, rather than being posed. she just took pictures of chase being chase, so i felt like we really captured him being 2. we brought in some toys that he loves, so he had fun. she didn't force him to smile at the camera, so the photos were really natural. the price was great too! they always have coupons online too! plus, you see the pictures within about 10 minutes and have them back in a week. they can do all of the specialty finishes too.

I was at the Babies R Us in Roseville with my (then) 13 day old daughter and we were approched by a photographer with the new photo studo they have called Kiddie Kandids. I know the Babies R Us in Richfield has a studio as well.

They took her picture and were very patient with her and they did a wonderful job. They are a little more expensive than other studio's in the area but they are really good with the babies and they made me very comfortable.

I have used a friend's studio for my wedding, but she specializes in natural children's photography. Check out her web site www.blubirdstudio.com

She's doing a special 1/2 hr photo shoot on 9/24 for just $75. She then mails you a CD with all the pictures on it so you can get them printed anywhere - love that!
