The YWCA in downtown Fort Worth is a beautiful historic building for a wedding and/or reception. You can see photos at:

Hey, mommas! I am helping a friend plan her wedding. We were wanting advice on where to have it. Do you know of any nice wedding facilities in the DFW area? She already has a child so she doesn't want a huge church wedding.

i had mine in Haltom City at Diamond Oaks Country Club. It was really very nice! and was super easy to do everything! they do the ceremony and reception there. it wasn't too pricey, and can accomodate as many people as you like!
I know it sounds odd, but the YWCA in Downtown fort worth is a BEAUTIFUL facility for a wedding, especially if you aren't wanting the large church thing. On top of everything, its extremely affordable, as the profits go to the YWCA. Here's the link. Go check it out!
I'm a wedding photographer, and I second the YWCA suggestion. It sounds weird, but it is a GORGEOUS location!!!!
To view some of the photos I shot there you can go to:

Sorry, not trying to plug my business, but I just had to give my .02 cents since I saw someone mention this place and I know that the name YWCA turns people off without giving it a chance.

My husband and I got married on Grapevine Lake in Southlake at a lakeside place called Paradise Cove. We had such a great experience. The place is beautiful. You can get married in a lakeside gazebo. Plus, the people are so friendly and helpful.
The Rockwall Chapel is where my husband and I were married two years ago. we had a very nice, resonably priced wedding. I also already had a child so we didn't want anything huge.
The YMCA Downtown IS beautiful, but there is also this little chapel in the southside of FTW kinda in a odd place but the chapel is beautiful and they have a ballroom and a little reception hall as well, it's called The Rose Chapel or you might could find it under Southside preservation hall. That is where I was married to my wonderfully picky husband 5 years ago. He went and saw the Botanic gardens and said it was a bit sanitary, he went to a bunch of other places and really liked the Rose Chapel so, that was it.

I know of a few places. Where is she thinking about getting married? What city, indoors??, etc...

Have you considered the otanic Gardens in Fort Worth? My best-friends daughter recently had her wedding there and it was Beautiful
I got married at the NorthEast Wedding Chapel on Precinct Line in Hurst...It is beautiful with on-site reception area a stair case for the bride to walk down and pictures make it look like a church but it is not...we had our 8-month old (who is now 3) at the wedding in his tuxedo.
My husband and I wanted something small and informal when we got married. We got married on the deck at the Oasis on Joe Pool Lake. They have a party room above that has huge windows over looking the lake. I walked down the steps from the party room to the deck. We had a harpest and a flutest. The harpest daughter played the flute and her husband was the DJ. I think all 3 of them were about $500.00. We also got a married couple who preforms wedding to marry us. She told me what to say and he told him what to say. It was very laid back and pretty. The party room was $150.00, but you had to get their food. I think all said and done we spent $2,500 and that includes dresses and everything.
The prices of everything have probably gone up, as we will be married for 4 years in September.
Green Oaks Wedding chapel is also very nice. It is in Arlington on Green Oaks, just south of 20 at Green Oaks and Park Springs.

Lightcatcher Winery
It is past Lake Worth and has a gorgeous patio on the back. People have weddings there all the time. It is very pretty and the owner is really great.
