Glue Remover

I've heard using ice works--just put an ice cube on it. I think the idea is that it sort of freezes the glue and then it chips off. I have no personal experience with it, but have heard about it.

Something exfoliating. St. Ives Apricot Scrub (yes its for face, but it exfoliates) and Mary Kay's Satin Hands scrub both work well. They are designed to take of the dead skin cells and fell kinda sandy, but they should get off the crud. Also, please please don't use gasoline! It may work, but it's also very dangerous - especially if your little man might put your fingers in his mouth. It's not easy to wash all the remnants away (think of how the smell lingers).

WD40 often works well, worth a try anyway.

Try Mineral Oil my husband used it to get roofing tar off his hands. If you can tolorate it I know steam removes hot glue from fabric but don't burn yourself. Or you might try those foot scrubbing stones for scrubbing calluses ya know. I hope something works for you! Good luck!

You can try paint thinner if you have any or maybe nail polish remover. With the nail polish remover, you have have to set your fingers/hand sit it in for a while but it may work. Good luck.

"De-Solv-it" is the best product in the world for taking off things like that and I believe the only place you can buy it is Reams. We use it for everything! Also, right on the label, it states that it will take off Adhesive, Crayon, Gum, Candle Wax, Chocolate, Lipstick, Shoe Polish, Grease, Oil, Soap Scum, Decals and Stickers, Tree Sap, Wet Oily Paint, Cosmetics, Tar & More. De-solveit works for lots of things. I would give it a try. My husband was a roofing contractor and I have used it to take tar off our hardwood floors and it doesn't harm the finish. I would follow up with a mosturizing hand wash. There's also a really good hand cream call "Working Hands". I'm a firefighter and between leather gloves and pulling and cleaning wet hose, this is the only thing I've found that can soothe and soften my hands. Good Luck!

Believe it or not but butter takes off sap. Don't know if it will work on glue.

If you used gorilla glue, you will never get it off.
That stuff is not made for school projects.
^You need to get some elmer's glue.
Anyway, I have found that with gorilla glue you might as well accept what is there because it is never going to come off.
Sorry, that is just my experience.

Try lighter fluid. I'm not sure what kind of glue gorilla glue is, but lighter fluid gets rid of the gummy, sticky residue that doesn't wash off.

Ditto the Desolve-It. Also, the orange/citrus cleaner my husband uses in the garage takes off just about everything I ever get on my hands. And I've done a lot of messy projects with things like paint, chemicals, strippers, finishes, etc. I don't know exactly what it is, but it's for the garage. Mechanics and such. So it takes off auto grease with minimal effort. It helped take off some kind of stain that I washed out of my brushes with water when I should have washed them out in paint thinner. It stuck all over my hands and my rings. The Desolve-It plus the hand cleaner from the garage worked wonders. I love the Mary Kay Satin Hands, too, but I wouldn't use that until the stuff's already off. Then it will soften your hands. I don't think it would clean it well enough without cleaning first. Anyway... hope that helps.

I just file it off with a nail file. Stop filing before it starts to hurt. You'll get most of it off. what's left will be smooth.
