hey my name is J. and im a new dad. when i say im a new day i mean my lil man cub is only a month old, and was a premi by a couple months so still pretty new at this.i know this is mamasource but where ever and who ever i can get help from would b great. im currently in the militay which leaves me wit lots of work besides my new son. need help with just bout everything.

J. congrats on the single father thing. It's not often that you hear of a military man being the single parent. I am retired military and also a single mom who never married. It was very hard for me to raise my son while trying to be a good NCO to my soldiers. I had to wear multiple hats at all tmes, but I always found ways to do and share things with my son. Because of the deployments and the extensive training that you are probably undergoing right now, I bet you are about to go crazy! Just stop and breath!!!! Make lots of friends. Get into play groups with local moms. It's ok that you are a dad the moms will accept you just the same. Make sure your family care plan is up to date and always have a back up to the back up babysitter. There are alot of things that you and your son can do here in the low country. With summer at hand, there will be many festivals and carnivals to go to. Get out and experience new things. If you need any help, send me an email....I will gladly help in anyway that I can....I have walked the same path you are walking right now!
