Happy New Year!!!!. I hope that everyone had a safe and happy new year.
I am curious if anybody made any resolutions and if you think you will stick with it?

I made two...one was to drink more water through out the day and two was to take more initiative in the "sex" department.
So far since New Years Eve I have done well. I am drinking more water and now have decided to redo my bathroom. (been in there a lot lately) and my hubby is really enjoying the fact that, well I am sure you get it. :):)

So what have you decided to do.
Many blessings

I don't share resolutions because they're very private to me. But one I made I will share - I resolve to stop holding back my honest opinions and sheltering feelings in my responses on this board. I feel I've been much too mild.

I know it is boring, but my biggest resolution is weight loss. I really have let myself go this year, despite working out quite often. We just eat too much. Food is such a big deal to us and it is not healthy. On top of overindulging at every holiday, party, etc, I am a "night eater" and it has gotten out of control. It is a problem I have had since i was a kid (I literally sleep-eat; I used to wake up with food wrappers in my bed, how gross is that?) I calculated it out last week and with my midnight snacks of 250-300 calories most nights, it accounts for about 20 lbs this year, which is about what I did actually gain. So, that is what I am working to conquer. Life is too short to let such a dumb problem run my life! No more junk food in the house because if it is not here, I will not be able to "sleep-eat" it! (Not once have a eaten a celery stick in a sleepy daze!) And seriously, no more baking. It leads to bad things...
Losing the weight should help in the sex life department as well...

I don't really make resolutions for the new year... I do make personal goals, and as I meet them I try to make new ones.

Resolutions are great for people who want to make them... But it's just not for me. :)

Nope, no resolutions made.

Just trying to live healthier and happier...not letting the weeds bog me down. It's so much a resolution as it is a lifestyle change.

There will always be weeds. I just choose to pull them up and press on rather than watching them fester in my garden!! :)

Congrats on the drinking more water and the bedroom fun!!!

Instead of resolutions, I set goals.

I started that about 25 years ago when I attended a management seminar & it has stuck with me ever since. I make sure they are attainable.

Hey, at least we are all trying to attain things, right? :)

Best of luck to all of us!!!

This is a copy of what I posted on my coaching facebook page.

Happy New Year everyone! There are two ideas I would like to share with you today. The first is the idea that instead of resolutions you create an intention for yourself for the next year. An extremely powerful way to do this is through one word that describes something you want more of in your life. For example, peace, surrender, fun, healing, change, enjoyment, curiosity, forgiveness, etc. As you decide on a word you set an intention that the Universe bring you all the things that will support you in learning more about being this word in your life. The second thing is something Cheryl Richardson shared that I think is the most powerful thing you could possible do for the new year: "What if the only resolution you made was to love yourself more?"
