multiple tvs .....that's the answer. & when he gets lonely & misses you, then you'll have the upperhand. & dang them for putting us in this position! Life with men shouldn't have to be a constant power play!
When I have the T.V. paused because I am watching something and had to get up (normally to do dishes laundry, tend to the kids etc...) my husband always comes in and changes the channel. Ugh! He leaves the T.V. paused for hours while he is doing his stuff. Now I just told him that after 5 min I am unpausing the T.V. (he is putting the baby down, BUT he is also recording the show that he has paused). Either way he is not going to miss a new episode. I just don't understand why he can change the channel and I can't.

Can you get another TV?
My Hubby... does that too.
But he'll be reasonable about it.
Can't your DVR record something, even if you change the channel?
It should be able to do that.
Tell him, he is watching the show... so no need to record it.
Geez.
Men.
Duh.
Husbands..... are..... the ..... other..... "kid"..... in ..... the.... family.
Because he's a man. lol
It's a man thing with the TV remote. Annoying, I know. But there it is.
My friend always threatens to stick the remote up her husband's butt because he'd never think to look there for it.
She's joking of course, but he does the same thing to her all the time.
She can run to go pee during a commercial and he'll change the channel. It's almost like two kids fighting over who gets to sit in a certain spot. "You got up so it was my turn. You snooze you lose."
It drives her crazy. He'll change the channel with her sitting right there. He channel surfs incessantly. They'll be 15 minutes into watching something and he'll just change the channel and start looking for something else.
They have more than one TV but he always wants her to watch what he's watching. Even if he's not sure what that is because he won't leave anything on one channel for any length of time.
She's gonna start pitching TV's out the window one of these days and I won't be surprised.
It must be a man thing. My ex husband did that to me all the time. I could be in a room in a different part of the house and he would walk in and change the channel and then leave.
Maybe if you explain to your husband it's sort of the same thing as interrupting someone when they're having a conversation to just change the channel when someone else is watching something, he'll understand that concept. Then again, maybe not.
Good luck with that.
Yes I concur, in utero when they receive their testosterone bath they also receive full authority of all remotes in their vicinity!! LOL, sounds like that good old Y chromosome doin' it's thang!!;)
who said you can't change the channel? i would have been changed the channel my boyfriend already knows! lol
Just record the show in case he does this and it will be there waiting for you.
